Welcome to the Puppy Sitter! Soon I will be starting a doggy daycare here in Huntington WV, but untill that gets up and running, I will be available to come to your house to walk, or just spend some time with your dog while you are away. I am available to walk your pup on Monday and Wednesday morning till noon and Tuesday, Thursday through Saturday 8AM to 6PM. For in-home care we will create a schedule that works best for your animals.
I will walk and play with your dog for thirty minutes or more during each individual visit. We will either walk in the park or around your local neighborhood, whichever you are more comfortable with.
If your dog requires certain medications at certain times, I can be there at these times to provide the care needed. I am also available to feed, water, and provide direct care and attention to your dog (or cat!) at pre-determined times during the day when you can't be at home for extended periods, such as a family emergency or vacation situation. This can be much less traumatizing to your pet than an extended stay in a kennel as he or she retains the ability to stay comfortable in their own familiar environment. Please contact me for more information about this service.
Before I walk your dog, I do ask that he or she have all of the appropriate vaccinations. If at all possible, I prefer that he or she be licensed within the county you reside in and have identification tags attached, but this is not required. These measures help to ensure the safety of your dog, myself, and the other people and pets that we may come in contact with.
I am NOT a professional dog trainer. However, I AM someone who loves and respects animals. I try and stay informed as best I can about current animal training trends in obedience and human to animal, and animal to animal socialization. All of my information I have researched, either in books or on the internet. I also have a wealth of life experience in dealing with animals and dogs of all types. In my own house, I have 3 dogs, 2 cats and 2 ferrets, but again, I not in anyway a dog trainer, just someone here to help. So there is your disclaimer. ;)
